Survey of Priests

in the State of Michigan On Optional Celibacy

January 30, 2004

Dear Father,

Call to Action of Michigan is conducting the enclosed survey in an attempt to gain greater understanding of the views of diocesan and religious order clergy from the State of Michigan on several critical issues that our Church is facing today. We are surveying all priests listed in the Catholic Directory. This is part of a more comprehensive effort. We plan to follow up with a survey of Catholic laity in the State of Michigan. Our goal is to identify the issues viewed by Catholics as most important and in need of further study and dialogue. We need your help. Please take a few minutes to respond to the enclosed questionnaire.

To protect the anonymity of survey respondents, results of the survey will be analyzed according to group data. Individual names are not associated with specific questionnaires. Please return your complete survey, unsigned, in the enclosed envelope by Feb 23, 2004 . If you would like to receive a copy of our results, you may send the enclosed postcard, separately from your completed survey.

Thank you.

In Christ,

Call to Action of Michigan
